Reiki Classes
Reiki is a particular form of healing energy that is transmitted to the practitioner by way of an “attunement”. An attunement is like a special and sacred meditation, and brings us into alignment with the Reiki energy. A Reiki attunement is activated by a Reiki Master-Teacher, who has been trained in the attunement technique, and who shares the process with a person who has the spiritual desire and intention to awaken their inner healing power.
There are 3 levels of Reiki classes and attunements. I use the curriculum and training manual of the International Center for Reiki Training. (Usui Reiki Tradition).

Reiki Level 1
The Reiki 1 class will cover the history of Reiki, what it is, how it can be used, the different levels of Reiki, and how the attunement process works. After receiving the Level 1 attunement, we will learn various ways of using Reiki, including self-treatment and giving a treatment to another person. We’ll practice feeling energy and have lots of exchange in both giving and receiving Reiki. Students will receive a manual and a Reiki Level 1 Certificate upon completion of the course.
Reiki Level 2
This class is for people who have received the Level 1 attunement and wish to increase their experience of the Reiki energy. The Reiki 2 class expands and deepens our experience of Reiki, and includes learning and using the three Level 2 Reiki symbols. We will learn how to use Distant Reiki (including past/future healing), and will practice doing complete Reiki treatments using all of the symbols. We’ll practice group healing, more advanced Reiki mediation practices, and learn how to deepen our experiences of with Reiki. Students will receive a manual and a Reiki Level 2 Certificate upon completion of the course.
Advanced Reiki Training/Reiki Master
The ART/ Reiki Master attunement is for people who have Reiki 1 and 2 and who have been working consistently with the Reiki energy for at least 1 year. The Reiki Master attunement represents a strong commitment to Reiki and will further increase the strength and flow of the Reiki energy. The ART/Reiki Master course is usually given over 3 full days.
Animal Reiki
The Animal Reiki course is designed for people who wish to use Reiki to support the animals in their lives. Reiki is Reiki, whether used with humans or animals. However, there are particular considerations and approaches when using Reiki with animals that are important and helpful to know. We’ll learn about the animal chakra system, how to share Reiki both off and on the body with an animal, and how to allow an animal to determine their own preferences in a Reiki session. We’ll practice with companion animals, and also learn how to use Reiki with wild animals and shelter animals.
